Introducing the New Ford Escape's Trim Levels

The Ford Escape is completely redesigned to welcome its fourth production cycle. Although it's in a very competitive compact-crossover space, the Escape makes a strong account of itself with improvements over its handling, safety features, power, and accelerating ability. Ford provides four Escape trim levels to choose from; they are the S, SE, SEL, and Titanium. You're sure to enjoy driving these around Twin Falls, ID.

Technology and Safety at Every Trim Level

A key feature of the new Ford Escape is FordPass Connect. This is an app that enables access to features and functions such as start/stop, remote lock/unlock, vehicle locating ability, and checking the fuel level and mileage. FordPass Connect also functions as a Wi-Fi hotspot for Internet access at 4G LTE speeds. Other standard comforts and convenience features include proximity key entry, a 4.2-inch instrument cluster, FordPass Connect, six-speaker audio, and a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio.

Restraint and cushioning on the Escape for protection during a crash is provided by a driver's knee airbag, two front impact airbags, two side impact airbags, and two side curtain airbags. Driver-assistance tech comes from the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, which combines features such as lane-keeping assist, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert. Other safety features include a rearview camera, electronic stability control with roll stability control, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, SOS post-crash alert system, a seatbelt reminder for both rows of seats, torque vectoring control, curve control, traction control, auto high beams, and a theft-deterrent system. You'll always feel secure around Jermone, ID.

S Trim Level

S Trim Level

At the S trim level, the Ford Escape is powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost inline three-cylinder (I3) engine with 180 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. However, for more output—as well as the max towing capability of 3,500 pounds—you can swap it with a larger, 2.0-liter EcoBoost I4 that produces 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Also, the 2.0-liter has auto start-stop technology, which means that the engine prevents unnecessary fuel consumption by automatically turning off when at a complete stop and automatically turning back on when you resume driving. Both the 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter are turbocharged and linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

With two rows of cloth-trimmed seats to accommodate up to five people, the Ford Escape offers 104 cubic feet of passenger space. The front incorporates a six-way manually adjustable driver’s seat and a four-way manually adjustable passenger seat. The rear has a bench-style 60/40 split-folding seat to expand cargo room when necessary.

Titanium Trim Level

The Titanium is the only trim with the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine as its standard workhorse, rather than as an option. The trim is characterized by luxury features such as leather seat trim, six-way power on the front passenger seat, a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation cluster (instead of the 4.2-inch), auto-dimming ability on the rearview mirror, a garage-door opener, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. For safety, Ford Co-Pilot360 is made more robust with the addition of adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, and park assist sensors accompany the rearview camera. For security, a perimeter alarm is added to bolster the theft-deterrent system.
